Adding that piece of flash on the bottom of a cantileaver probably will do nothing, I suspect if there is a water leak he has far bigger problems than that.

Better be carefull of this guy , i seen him in another video and he was fking up bad, Its a video about caulking and he was making a h3ll of a mess of the work. I thought iot was a joke video but i guess he was for real, but my lord he didnt know what he was doing,

@tbob404 In his other video (which should be combined with this) he points out that a gutter, behind which water had leaked, had been removed, so he’s probably on the right track. I’m a little leery of that caulking though, will it keep out as much water as it traps in? With a proper rain-screen, I wouldn’t expect caulking to be necessary.

Rent a sprayer, doing it with a brush and weenie roller is a ridiculous waste of time.

While I would use a different brush and the materials aren’t the same, I would agree with pretty much everything in this video. And @95Turbosol, while spraying the paint on is quicker and more effective, using a roller anf a brush gives it a different structure and some people prefer that. Including myself.
And yes, I do know what I’m talking about as I am educated in the trade of house-painting

I also would have used different paint materials than shown in this video. Such as a Purdy paint brush for around the windows and a plastic grocery sack works a lot better than plastic wrap. My husband has been a paint contractor for over 24 years so I have learned most of what I know from him. A spray machine is a lot quicker than doing this by hand.
